The Claddagh Fund
I am thrilled to be a running as part of the Claddagh Fund running group for the 2019 Boston Marathon! I began my racing journey in October 2012 when I ran my first half marathon and after that, I was hooked and decided to run a race in every state. It sounded like a daunting task, but my life’s motto is “accomplish the unexpected” and this is one area of my life where I do just that. The Boston Marathon will be my 45th state race and I am hoping to complete the next five before October 2019. I always wanted the Boston Marathon to be my Massachusetts race so I am overjoyed that my dream is becoming a reality.
When I am not running or working, I have a side baking business where I bake and sell Amish Friendship bread and homemade poptarts. I am currently in four coffee shops in Nashville and have hopes of growing my business even more. I am also married and together my husband and I enjoy traveling, trying new restaurants, playing games, and spending time with friends and family. We are so excited to travel to Boston and explore the city together as well as visit nearby family and friends. Thank you so much for this opportunity. I feel honored and blessed to be running alongside the other Claddagh runners! Best of luck to all the runners!
About The Claddagh Fund
The Claddagh Fund was founded in Boston in 2009 by Ken Casey of the Dropkick Murphys. Ken, his bandmates and their families have supported charities throughout the history of the band. Understanding the power of their position to harness the passion and generosity of their fans, the Claddagh Fund was created to raise funds for and broaden our impact on worthy, underfunded non-profits that support the most vulnerable individuals in our communities.
